Remember how I said in the last post that I was working on two projects? Well that second project, the women's fiction novel, is the story that sold me to Imogen.
It's not finished yet, so it will be a while before you hear of it hitting the shelves (hopefully!)
I'm beyond thrilled. My first response from an agent was to say he had difficulty in turning me down and the second wanted to see more and offered to represent me. This is amazing. If you want to be successful in writing, you need an agent. They're the ones that can get you seen. They're the ones that can negotiate with publishers on your behalf. They're the ones that make sure your contracts are good and that your advance is the best it can be. They're the ones that are your support, your cheerleaders and your friend.
I've been incredibly lucky and I feel very blessed.
